MAIN Listservs

This listserv is the most broad and attempts to incorporate all staff in all of the MAIN libraries, including directors, departmental supervisors, librarians, technical staff, and support staff.

The Board of Directors is composed of 11 elected library directors who oversee MAIN’s operations and supervise the MAIN Executive Director. They meet on the second Thursday of each month (except August) at different locations. It was formally known as the MAIN Planning Council.

Multiple times per year, the Board of Directors meeting is preceded by a Membership meeting, which is open to all MAIN staff. In addition to Old/New business items, representatives from each committee give reports at these Membership meetings, outlining what has been accomplished since the last Membership meeting.

This listserv encompasses all current committee chairs and co-chairs.

This listserv is composed of all current members of MAIN’s Delivery Task Force. The Task Force meets periodically in order to govern interim MAIN delivery efforts as well as research how delivery services are provided at other library organizations around the country.

This listserv is composed of all the library directors and interim directors across MAIN. Directors meet the fourth Friday of every month at 9:30 AM (except in July and December).

This listserv is a forum for Envisionware customers to discuss best practices and compare notes about the LPT:One print/time management and mobile print products. Libraries work together with the central office to offer Envisionware, the only print/time management solution currently supported by MAIN. They meet at least annually.

This listserv is a forum for Google Drive/FileStream users to discuss best practices and compare notes about the cloud features associated with the product. Libraries work together with the central office to offer Google Drive, now FileStream, the only cloud file management solution currently supported by MAIN. They meet as necessary.

The Large Libraries listserv serves as a forum for the library directors of the largest third of the MAIN
membership (based on population). They meet as necessary.

The Medium Libraries Committee serves as a forum for the library directors of the middle third of the MAIN membership (based on population). They meet as necessary.

This listserv is composed of the primary contacts for each library’s Magellan (Locations webpage) functionality administrator and may be used as a forum to learn what other libraries are choosing to showcase for patrons to see.

The Small Libraries Committee serves as a forum for the library directors of the smallest third of the MAIN membership (based on population). They meet as necessary.
