How to view, edit or delete Gmail filters

Setting a filter allows you to route specific messages to a specific folder, or a specific email account. Creating a filter can be useful for organizing your inbox. You can find instructions for creating a filter here.

To view, edit or delete existing filters:

  • Go to https://gmail.com and log in to your e-mail account.
  • Click on the settings gear at the top of your inbox and select “Settings” from the dropdown list.
  • Select Filters and Blocked Addresses from the top of the screen.
  • All filters you have applied to your inbox will appear here. They can be edited or deleted by clicking on the edit or delete links respectively.
